Destined for Greatness Outreach Youth Center
Destined for Greatness Outreach Youth Center (DFGOYC) is dedicated to providing mentoring, after school tutorial and study, work study, summer camp, youth fitness, sports, music and internship programs in the Metro Atlanta area. DFGOYC programs are directed toward underserved youth to promote community empowerment, personal and professional development and social independence.
The proposed 115,000 sq ft Youth Center facility will offer convenient access for youths to experience organized outdoor activities coupled with a safe place to learn and grow as individuals.
Classrooms
Several multi-purpose classrooms and conference rooms for tutoring, seminars and training pair with our mentoring programs to assist at all levels of learning. Our educational assistance plan is supplemented by a fully-equipped Computer Lab and Career Center focused on resume assistance, job placement and technology courses. Students will have access to a Music Studio equipped with media production capabilities and instructional training on music equipment and instruments.
Multi-Use Gymnasium
The Youth Center facility includes a multi-use gym, stage, indoor track, fitness center and aerobics studio. The site will be home to an After School Summer Camp and several well-maintained multi-purpose fields for outdoor activities. The versatile multi-purpose gymnasium floor features space for basketball, volleyball and unlimited indoor sporting activities plus an expandable stage for concerts, theatrical plays and performances. The Youth Center also houses a Fitness Center with weight lifting and cardio equipment, an Aerobics Studio for fitness and dance classes, a running/walking track with stretching areas and a gaming area with bumper pool, table tennis and more.
