Taeon Wilson
Growing up in Ohio taught me the importance of working hard and staying determined. When I was nine years old, I moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where I had to adjust to a new home, new school, and new friends. Even though it was a big change, I stayed focused and made the best of every opportunity. One of my biggest accomplishments was playing middle school football for two years. During my first season, my team made it to the championship game and won the championship. In my second season, we worked hard and made it back to the championship game, but we came up short. Even though we didn't win the second time, I learned valuable lessons about teamwork, perseverance, and never giving up. Another accomplishment I am proud of is successfully completing all of my middle school years and getting ready to start ninth grade. This is an exciting step toward reaching my future goals. I also take pride in being a leader and a positive role model at school. I try to set a good example by showing respect, making responsible choices, and encouraging others to do their best. I believe my leadership skills and positive attitude help me make a difference in my school and community. I am also very blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of Destined for Greatness. This program has helped me become a better young man by teaching me the importance of responsibility, respect, accountability, and making positive decisions. It has also helped me through some difficult times by giving me a person I can depend on. My mentor, Zane, has always been there for me whenever I need someone to talk to or when I just need to clear my mind by hanging out. Having a mentor who genuinely cares has made a big impact on my life, and I am grateful for everything he has done for me. Shout out to Zane for always supporting and encouraging me. As I begin high school, I plan to continue working hard, achieving my goals, and becoming the best version of myself.
