Makaio Searcy

Hello, my name is Makaio Searcy. I am an awesome 7-year-old with autism, and I am in the first grade. I am a bright and curious student who loves learning new things every day. My favorite subjects in school are spelling and reading. I enjoy challenging myself with new words, and I’m proud to have won the spelling competition for my grade two years in a row. Reading helps me explore new ideas and learn about the world around me. After school, I like to stay active and have fun. I enjoy spending time with my mentor, who helps guide and encourage me. I also practice Taekwondo, where I build strength, discipline, and confidence. It’s one of my favorite activities. In my free time, I love Monster Trucks and enjoy learning all about them. I’m also very interested in sharks and can share lots of cool facts about different types. I enjoy talking about the things I love and sharing my knowledge with others. I am proud of who I am, and I enjoy being myself. Thank you for choosing me as the April Youth Spotlight of the Month. I hope to continue learning, growing, and inspiring others.
