James Kyles, Jr. serves as the Founder and Executive Director for Destined for Greatness Outreach Youth Center. In this role, James coordinates and oversees the entire operation and serves as a liaison to the CFO and Board of Directors.
James has more than 12 years of experience in the development of youth within the high school and college educational system. He has served as Student Manager for American InterContinental University, Senior Admissions Advisor for both Laurus Technical Institute and ITT Technical Institute and Music Teacher for Blessed Trinity Catholic School where he empowered students to pursue their dreams and education. James took on the vision that God gave him, which involved birthing Destined for Greatness Outreach Youth Center, Inc. on June 1, 2010.
A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, James attended the University of Wisconsin and completed his studies in French Education and Music. James also studied Business Administration at DeVry University. James spent the last decade in leadership positions for non-profit and public service organizations. James has also served as a member of the NAACP for which he has received numerous awards for his musical talents and leadership. James was nominated by E3 Magazine in February 2016 to receive a community award at the 5th Annual Spirit of Excellence Awards for recognition of his contribution as a community leader in the Greater Atlanta Metro area. In April 2016, James and his staff along with the youth advisory board took on the task to launch it's first mentoring program, "Fighting To Be Heard.” This program was designed to implement programs for elementary, middle and high school students.
